As reported by USA Today and others, the Large Binocular Telescope, the most powerful telescope yet built, is now fully operating. Located on Mount Graham near Safford, AZ, the Large Binocular Telescope uses a pair of primary mirrors each 3.4 meters in diameter (you can read its specifications here).
