In reference to the Illinois state representative who engaged in the angry tirade denouncing atheist Rob Sherman, I’d like to point out that the representative, Monique D. Davis, is a Democrat, and also a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, the same church to which Senator Obama belongs (and she’s made efforts to defend the comments of Rev. Wright). So it’s not just ‘eeevil right wing fundamentalists’ who show appalling bigotry towards atheists and the non-religious.
