Candace de Russy has an article at Pajamas Media about the continuation of the ideological indoctrination program of the residence life department of the University of Delaware. I’ve followed this appalling program since the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) reported on this last October, including excerpts from the program’s training manual (and the whole document [PDF, 2.1 MB]).
This sort of thing should outrage any person who believes in freedom of opinion and in real education, not political indoctrination. However, such things are becoming all to common in American education, both public and post-secondary schools. I’m not sure what can be done, since even the dedicated work of groups like FIRE, often including legal action, doesn’t appear to be enough to stop the rampaging political correctness machine.
