Japan’s Oldest Robot Restarted!

Gakutensoku (学天則), the 80-year old, 10-foot 6-inch tall pneumatic robot created for the ascension of the Emperor Showa, moves again thanks to a $200,000 refit.


Is it just me, or when its eyes move side to side, doesn’t it look like it’s up to something?
