Jonah Goldberg has a post on the appaling lack of historical knowledge on the part of young people not just in America, but in the UK. Case in point, a majority of young Britons surveyed thought Sherlock Holmes was a real person, while nearly a quarter thought Winston Churchill was a fictional character.
