Why do mathematicians confuse Halloween and Christmas?

Really? 31 x 10 = 25 x 12? 310 = 300? or is this addition that i dont know about? 41 = 37? is it subtraction?? 21 =13? how does this work? sorry to talk about a old topic… lol.
The joke here is that OCT and DEC are being used not as abbreviations for the months, but as abbreviations for “Octal” and “Decimal“, that is to say, base 8 and base 10. You can confirm that (3×8)+1=25.
